Within a dynamic flowing vinyasa based yoga practice the body's governing principles are taught so that its inherent functional and structural integrity is revealed. The focus of this is sensitised activation during yoga posture practice. Sensitive action is a simple progression from sensitising the joints, refining muscular activity, opening the joints, to integrating the whole body. Sensitised activation of the body is initiated through movement where attention is focused on sensations in the joints, while utilising the minimum necessary muscular effort possible. Integration is completed in the stillness of the yoga postures.
THE DYNAMIC YOGA FOUNDATION COURSE includes the Method, Dynamic and Form yoga practice modules. The classes in these three modules ground you in the yoga method, giving you the keys to establishing functional, structural and energetic integration during your yoga practice. Each course and class uses the step by step progression of vinyasa krama to create a dynamic flow of awareness and assimilation.
THE DYNAMIC YOGA INTERMEDIATE TRAINING COURSE includes the Practice and Self Practice modules. These two modules allow you to establish a safe and effective yoga self practice, based on the flow dynamic of vinyasa.
THE DYNAMIC YOGA ADVANCED TRAINING COURSES includes the Depth Intensive, Solo Retreat and the Meditation Intensives. These courses and classes provide a deep and practival exploration of the yoga postures, vinyasa flow, breathing, meditation and other yoga techniques.
THE TEACHER TRAINING is based on the above, and empowers you to teach yoga with integrity in any style of practice.
APPRENTICESHIPS are for anyone wishing to immerse themselves totally in a life of yoga in a non-dogmatic setting.
All our yoga retreat classes are given within the fertilising context of patanjali’s ashtanga yoga, and link yoga postures together into a vinyasa flow of dynamic yoga practice ending with stillness in savasana and sitting, thereby balancing the 'yin' and 'yang' elements of traditional hatha yoga. All morning classes include guided pranayama and meditation.
